JEE Main 2026 Incident Reported at Manipal Exam Centre
The incident occurred at TMA Pai Polytechnic College in Manipal, one of the official exam centers. The JEE Main exam, organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), was held in two sessions on April 5, 2026.
The malpractice was reported during the afternoon session.
- Morning Session: 149 candidates took the exam
- Afternoon Session: 133 candidates took the exam
JEE Main 2026 Student Accused of Photographing Question Paper
According to a complaint from the exam center observer V.K. Manohar Kumar, a student used a mobile phone inside the exam hall. The student, named Aridaman Singh Sang from Uttarakhand, is accused of:
- Taking pictures of the question paper on the computer screen
- Trying to send the images out to be circulated
This kind of behavior is strictly against NTA rules.
JEE Main 2026 FIR Registered, Police Investigation Underway
After the complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed at Manipal Police Station. The police have started an investigation into how the student was able to bring a mobile phone into the exam hall, despite strict security measures. The authorities will decide further actions based on the investigation results.

The NTA enforces strict rules to prevent cheating during exams. Candidates can only enter with proper identification, and:
