Kumar Shanker took charge as Managing Director of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) on June 5, 2026. He replaced Kamal Kishore Chatiwal, who completed a three-year term and returned to GAIL (India) Limited.
Experienced Leader in Oil and Gas
Shanker brings over three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. Before joining IGL, he served as Managing Director of Maharashtra Natural Gas Ltd in Pune. His career includes significant roles at GAIL (India) Limited, where he handled gas processing plant operations, petrochemical project management, corporate planning, marketing, and regulatory affairs.
